Network Password Reset Guide - Remember Password

This guide explains how students, faculty, and staff can change their ACG network password. If you remember your password but for some reason you are not able to change it, there are four ways to reset it:

1. Contact the helpdesk email address – helpdesk@acg.edu
2. Contact the Open Access Labs at the CN Building and the Library building.
3. If you have activated the security questions in Sysaid you can reset your password from there
4. You can reset your password from Blackboard.

Option 1 - Contact the Help Desk

Email helpdesk@acg.edu if you do not remember your password, cannot log in, have trouble using Blackboard or SysAid, or encounter an error while changing your password.

1. Send an email to helpdesk@acg.edu describing the issue you are experiencing.
2. Wait for the Help Desk to provide the next steps or assistance with the reset.
3. Do not include your current or new password in the email.

Option 2 - Visit the Open Access Labs

There are two Open Access Labs, one located at the CN Building 1112 and another in the library lower level in room 115.

If you have any questions, you can visit the labs for help.

Option 3 - Activate security questions in SysAid

Set up security questions while you can still sign in with your network credentials. This enables an additional self-service method for changing your network password in the future.

1. Sign in to the SysAid site using your current network username and password.
2. The security questions are located in “My Settings” when you click your name.
3. Choose the questions and answer them carefully. Use answers you will remember but that others cannot easily guess.
4. Save your security question setup.
5. When you need to change your network password later, return to SysAid and use the available self-service password option.

Option 4 - Reset your password through Blackboard

Use this option if you have forgotten your network password or need to reset it.

1. Open the Blackboard sign in page.
2. Select Forgot Password.
3. Enter the information requested on the password-reset page.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new network password.
5. Use the new password the next time you sign in to Blackboard, SysAid, or another ACG service that uses your network credentials.
