The American College of Greece uses PaperCut to manage student printing. Printers are available in the Library and the Open Access Labs (FA-Lab and R1112 in the CN Building). Each semester/session, students receive a printing allowance that can be used for their print jobs. The cost is 0.04 per color page and 0.006 per black-and-white page, which corresponds approximately to 50 color pages, 333 black-and-white pages, or a combination of both.
PaperCut operates as a secure “Hold and Release” system. This means that documents are not printed immediately; instead, they are stored safely in a virtual queue until you go to a printer and release them in person.
Sending a Print Job
- From any computer in an Open Access Lab, send your document to print.
- Your print job will be securely stored in PaperCut and can be released from any multifunction printer in the Open Access Labs or Library, regardless of where it was originally sent from.
Releasing a Print Job at a Multifunction Printer
To collect your printouts, go to any multifunction printer in the Open Access Labs and follow these steps:
- Log in by entering your network credentials on the touchscreen.
- Tap the Print Release option to view your pending print jobs.
- Select your document, check the cost, and tap Print. The cost will be automatically deducted from your printing balance. If you no longer wish to print the document, you can delete it by selecting the recycle bin icon.
- Log out when finished to ensure your account remains secure.
