Overview
The American College of Greece provides students with access to audiovisual (AV) equipment to support coursework, presentations, and student organization events. Available items typically include laptops, cameras, microphones, and other related accessories.
Students can reserve equipment in advance through the Media Center, ensuring the tools they need are ready and in good condition when needed. This service helps students complete academic projects and campus activities with the right technical resources on hand.
Eligibility
Students enrolled in specific courses (such as Cinema Studies, Visual Arts, Music, and similar programs) may borrow audiovisual equipment — including video cameras, photo cameras, audio recorders, and tripods — for course-related projects.
Availability and Loan Period
- Equipment is borrowed based on availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The loan period for students is one week.
Reservation, Pickup, and Return
- Check with the Media Center in advance to confirm equipment availability.
- Bring your student ID card — it is required at checkout.
- Pick up the equipment from the corresponding Media Center office.
- A quick demonstration of the equipment's use will be given at checkout.
- Return the equipment to the same Media Center office by the due date.
Borrower Responsibilities
- Use equipment only as intended and take reasonable care to protect it from damage.
- Return equipment on time and in the condition received.
- For off-campus use, arrange safe transport and storage; never leave equipment unattended in vehicles or public spaces.
- Use audiovisual equipment in strict compliance with ACG policies and applicable GDPR regulations, particularly when recording audio, video, or images that may include personal data.
Late Returns
Failure to return items on time may negatively affect a student's borrowing privileges and/or student status, as described in the Equipment Borrowing Policy.
