Student Preview in Blackboard Ultra lets you view and use your course exactly as a student would.
You can use it to review your course design, ensure content appears at the right time, and see how grades and feedback are displayed to students.
It’s also useful for checking any other settings or features that affect what students can access and view in the course.
Preview Features
While in student preview, you can:
- Submit assignments and tests
- Participate in discussions and conversations
- View grades
- Experience group membership
Note: You can't use preview mode in completed courses.
Starting and Exiting Preview
To start the student preview, select the “Student Preview” button at the top right corner. This allows you to participate in the course as a student. A message will appear, informing you that the student preview will begin after you select the Start Preview button. To exit, go to the top right corner and click on the “Exit” button. A message will then appear, asking you to save or discard the student preview user.
