The American College of Greece offers a well-equipped campus designed to support both academic and personal needs. One of its main features is Wi-Fi coverage across the campus, helping students, faculty, and staff stay connected wherever they are.

How to connect to the “acgopen” Wi-Fi network
Once you have set up your Wi-Fi, your device will remember the network and reconnect automatically anywhere you find it on campus.
Steps:
- Open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone, tablet, or computer.
- Select acgopen from the list of available networks.
- Choose "Connect". Acgopen is an open Wi-Fi network and does not require ACG network credentials.
- Once your device shows that it is connected, open a browser or another internet-based application to confirm access.
Troubleshooting: When it won't connect
The most common cause of “won't connect” on Android is a leftover configuration from a network that ACG no longer uses. The fix is to make the device forget everything and start again.
Fix:
If you're still stuck, run through this list before contacting IT:
- Airplane mode: Toggle it on for 10 seconds and back off. This forces the Wi-Fi radio to reinitialize.
- Date and time: Make sure your device's date is set automatically. A clock that's badly out of sync will fail certificate validation.
- Android version: Very old Android versions (below 10) may struggle with newer certificate requirements. If your device is more than 5 years old, this may be the culprit.
- Signal strength: If the network shows only one bar, walk to a stronger signal area before troubleshooting further. Weak signal will time out enterprise authentication.
Click the Wireless icon in the system tray to view the list of available wireless networks.
- Select the SSID from the list (no password required), then click Connect.
-
Check the box Connect automatically so your device will reconnect to this network whenever you're in range, as shown in the picture below:
If you cannot connect
If you are unable to connect to acgopen or cannot access the internet after connecting, please try the following:
- Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on.
- Select acgopen again and choose Forget this network or Remove network, if this option is available. Then reconnect.
- Open a web browser and try to visit a website. Some devices may need the browser to open before internet access is available.
- Restart your device and try again.
- Move to another area of the campus and reconnect, as signal strength may vary by location.
acgopen is an open network that requires no password. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar to view available networks.
- Select acgopen from the list.
- Click to connect.
Once the Wi-Fi icon turns blue, you will be connected.
Wireless signal and availability
Wireless coverage is available across many ACG areas; however, signal strength and internet performance may vary depending on your location, the number of connected users, and your device. If possible, move closer to another access point or try a different nearby area.
